Mettabbana began collecting international music 8-tracks, cassettes and vinyl as a teen. His sets and production range from raw analog and folkloric presentations from Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, the Caribbean, his Balkan homeland and beyond to melding of such sounds with gritty bass and minimal electronic.
He has been a thrust in the DC global music scene by founding a number of global music event series and collectives such as the all-vinyl global vintage groove Analog Soul Club, Tropic of Bass, Crepúsculo Sereno, 1001 Beats, and is a resident DJ + curator with the Meso Creso artistic collective. Mettabbana has played alongside artists such as Quantic, Noura Mint Seymali, Dengue Fever, Filastine, etc.
Atticus has connected with Ecstatic Dance communities around the world. She participated in the inaugural California Ecstatic Dance Bus + Film Tour in 2015 and completed Donna Carroll's ED Leadership Training in 2017. Many of her most profound breakthroughs + life lessons have come through on the dance floor; she aims to cultivate that space for others to experience as well.
